Description
We have seen many types and sizes of pocket slips. Â This one is the type that seems to fit in the pocket with the least amount of added space requirement and protect the knife for many years. Â We contracted these ourselves from Europe of Tuscany vegetable tanned leather and are extremely proud of them. Â Since we have six sizes they will not fit every knife perfectly, but we simply can’t have an inventory of 30 different sizes.
Small (fits 3″ x 15/16″)
Small Wide (fits 3″ x 1 1/8″)
Medium (fits 3 5/8″ x 1 3/8″)

You will get one selected slip in a plastic sleeve. Â
At one time I had some COA’s (certificates of authenticity) that I bought to offer optionally to those that are interested in that type of thing. Â Below is the gist of what the certificate says other than a number and official trademark and consortium stamping.

If you have slipjoints that you don’t want doing the watusi within your phone, change, keys etc. These things are a steal. Quality leather, stitching, and a variety of sizing and colors. I now have a handful of these in a couple of sizes and all 3 colors, and I plan on getting more!

I ordered a medium wide in red for my 2-blade 77 Northfield Barlow. Perfect size/fit. It would probably fit a 71 Bullnose with a little bit of the handle sticking out, too, but believe it or not, that knife is thicker than the 77. Anyway, this slip is very nicely made. Red color is great. The slip helps the backsprings and bolsters patina a little, too, which is cool if you like patina. Makes the knife carry a lot more pleasantly in the pocket.

For a tight/secure fit of a 15 pattern GEC, get a medium. If you want it a bit loose, but still secure, go with the medium wide.

Wasn’t sure of the size; contacted Mike Latham and got the size recommendations for two GEC pocket knives. They fit nicely. The leather weight and finish were just right for my knives. Leather has good stiffness and is pliant to form around the knife and yet hold it in place in the slip. Colors (one brown, one deep rich red) are very nice, and the price can’t be beat.
