Description
We have seen many types and sizes of pocket slips. This one is the type that seems to fit in the pocket with the least amount of added space requirement and protect the knife for many years. We contracted these ourselves from Europe of Tuscany vegetable tanned leather and are extremely proud of them. Since we have six sizes they will not fit every knife perfectly, but we simply can’t have an inventory of 30 different sizes.
Small (fits 3″ x 15/16″)
Small Wide (fits 3″ x 1 1/8″)
Medium (fits 3 5/8″ x 1 3/8″)
Medium Wide (fits 3 5/8″ x 1 1/2″) – Available in Crazy Horse Leather
Large (fits 4 1/8″ x 1 3/8″)
Large Wide (fits 4 1/4″ x 1 1/2″) – Available in Crazy Horse Leather
You will get one selected slip in a plastic sleeve.
At one time I had some COA’s (certificates of authenticity) that I bought to offer optionally to those that are interested in that type of thing. Below is the gist of what the certificate says other than a number and official trademark and consortium stamping.
“This trademark certificates that this leather has been tanned exclusively with natural tannins of vegetable origins and does not contain substances prohibited by law. Tannin extracts are a fundamental ingredient for the slow tanning process and the quality of its result. Small veins, wrinkles and imperceptible scratches eventually present on the leather prove its naturalness rendering each skin one of a kind. Still nowadays, in the heart of Tuscany, our master tanners remain faithful to their century-old artisan productions, a combination of tradition and up-to-date technology. the trademark Pelle Conciata al Vegetale in Toscana protects and protmotes these principles.”

The CK Tuscany Leather slips are very high quality especially at this price offering. My only concern is that the size of the slips run small. I ordered three slips of varying size (one small, one small wide and one medium). The medium slip best accommodated my small knife. The small slips were too small. Excellent quality, just smaller than I expected. I will be ordering more slips but will up the size next time.

Not comfortably. The Large-Wide is the right size for both.

First, the quality, price and service are top notch. medium tuscany slip is perfect for my sod buster jr with bone covers. Sod buster jr with thicker synthetic covers fits better in the crazy horse Medium -wide. This slip will also fit mini trapper but fits better in the crazy horse medium wide.

5 out of 5 Tuscuny Pocket Slips

From a recent vacation in Spain my daughter brought me a Taramundi pen knife. These knives are not available in the U.S. and I prize it enough to want to carry it in a pocket slip. From previous use the only slip I wanted was one of Mike’s Tuscany slips. The wide small fits my new knife perfectly. These slips are very well made and offered at a very reasonable price.

Nicely done. The Tuscany medium is a great fit for a synthetic scale Sodbuster Jr. and for an SAK Alox Pioneer.
The Tuscany small is a snug fit and a bit short for a Case single blade Mini Trapper, but is pretty much what I was after. I expect the snugness to disappear no problem. I haven’t worked it in because it’s a gift I want brand-new perfect when unwrapped.
Pictured are a Sodbuster Jr. in the medium and a single blade Mini Trapper in the small. The Mini Trapper has room to go deeper, but as I said, I didn’t want to spoil the newness.

5 out of 5 Gotta get 'em
J.R. Kosch (verified owner) –
Classy and beautiful. I have a couple of sizes in different colors (because I have too many knives), and they do the job admirably. It’s such a great price for a quality slip you NEED to get some. If you actually carry the knives you collect, these are a very desirable necessity. Get ’em while you can.

Size recommendation for GEC 25 single-blade and double-blade options?

I would go with the Crazy Horse MW. If you like them tighter the SW might work.
