Description

We have seen many types and sizes of pocket slips.  This one is the type that seems to fit in the pocket with the least amount of added space requirement and protect the knife for many years.  We contracted these ourselves from Europe of Tuscany vegetable tanned leather and are extremely proud of them.  Since we have six sizes they will not fit every knife perfectly, but we simply can’t have an inventory of 30 different sizes.

Small (fits 3″ x 15/16″)
Small Wide (fits 3″ x 1 1/8″)
Medium (fits 3 5/8″ x 1 3/8″)
Medium Wide (fits 3 5/8″ x 1 1/2″)   – Out of stock
Large (fits 4 1/8″ x 1 3/8″)
Large Wide (fits 4 1/4″ x 1 1/2″)  – Out of stock

You will get one selected slip in a plastic sleeve.

I have some COA’s (certificates of authenticity) that I bought to offer optionally to those that are interested in that type of thing.  Below is the gist of what the certificate says other than a number and official trademark and consortium stamping.

This trademark certificates that this leather has been tanned exclusively with natural tannins of vegetable origins and does not contain substances prohibited by law.  Tannin extracts are a fundamental ingredient for the slow tanning process and the quality of its result.  Small veins, wrinkles and imperceptible scratches eventually present on the leather prove its naturalness rendering each skin one of a kind.  Still nowadays, in the heart of Tuscany, our master tanners remain faithful to their century-old  artisan productions, a combination of tradition and up-to-date technology.  the trademark Pelle Conciata al Vegetale in Toscana protects and protmotes these principles.

If you have slipjoints that you don’t want doing the watusi within your phone, change, keys etc. These things are a steal. Quality leather, stitching, and a variety of sizing and colors. I now have a handful of these in a couple of sizes and all 3 colors, and I plan on getting more!

5 out of 5 Premium slip at non premium price

    (verified owner)

These slips are high quality. Very well stitched and finished. The leather is a bit stiff at first, but with use it breaks in and molds itself to your knife. I don’t think you will find a better slip for the money.

5 out of 5 Great pocket slip!

    (verified owner)

Great Pocket slip for the money I really like them. Will definitely buy more! The large wide is a good fit for large stockman GEC #53 & #54s as well as Case 6375s & 6275s and the medium wide is a good fit for GEC #66 and #15 Beer Scouts and Crown lifters.

5 out of 5 Great product and great value.

    (verified owner)

Love these things. I won’t put a traditional knife in my pocket (whether GEC, SAK, or other) without first putting it into one of these slips. The price is unbeatable for the quality.

I liked the first one so much that I ordered a second and it fit the knife I purchased it for perfectly. If you’re looking for a premium leather slip I highly recommend these.

5 out of 5 Excellent Product and Price

    (verified owner)

Wasn’t sure of the size; contacted Mike Latham and got the size recommendations for two GEC pocket knives. They fit nicely. The leather weight and finish were just right for my knives. Leather has good stiffness and is pliant to form around the knife and yet hold it in place in the slip. Colors (one brown, one deep rich red) are very nice, and the price can’t be beat.

5 out of 5 Great slips and Great Leather!

    (verified owner)

Needed slips for my GEC #25 and #73 and Mike recommended the Small Wide and Large Wide respectively. They work like a charm! And as a bonus my Benchmade Proper fits in the Large Wide as well.

5 out of 5 Very High Quality

    (verified owner)

This is, by far, one of the best quality leather products that I own!
For a tight/secure fit of a 15 pattern GEC, get a medium. If you want it a bit loose, but still secure, go with the medium wide.

5 out of 5 Perfect slip to carry a slip joint

    (verified owner)

I ordered a medium wide in red for my 2-blade 77 Northfield Barlow. Perfect size/fit. It would probably fit a 71 Bullnose with a little bit of the handle sticking out, too, but believe it or not, that knife is thicker than the 77. Anyway, this slip is very nicely made. Red color is great. The slip helps the backsprings and bolsters patina a little, too, which is cool if you like patina. Makes the knife carry a lot more pleasantly in the pocket.

Fits like a glove. Very tight at first, but loosens up to be perfect. No wasted space in your pocket. Just squeeze the sides a bit and shake it out. 5 stars for the construction also.

These are the highest quality leather slips I’ve ever seen, well worth the price, and yes, the finish is smooth as butter. I only hope that Mike gets his hands on more of the medium wide slips.

Medium Wide, if you take the clip off. They are not made to work with a clip.
