Description
OK, on the heels of the very successful pocket slip and clip slip, we have went a bit further. Â More and more knifemakers today are offering a small caping / skinning knife. Â These knives work fine in a sheath but many folks are looking for a way to carry them in a pocket. Â So, we have developed a Front Pocket Slip for fixed blades. Â Although after looking at them, I discovered they would work equally well as a neck knife or to simply attach to a bag.
We contracted these ourselves from Europe of Tuscany vegetable tanned leather and are extremely proud of them. Â Since we have two sizes they will not fit every knife perfectly, but we simply can’t have an inventory of 30 different sizes. Â Many knives will fit in both, just depending on how much knife you want in the leather and how high you want it to ride.
This large size is perfect for many knives such as the Arno Bernard Scavenger Series, Hess Caper, etc.  Or if you want your knife deeper in the sheath it is great for the GEC H20 series or similar.  The opening is 1.3″ and the depth is 5.2″; but the thickness of your paticular knife will make a difference.  If we have the knife in question in stock, just call and ask if this will fit.
For free shipping on this item, it must be in the cart with a knife purchase.
The paracord does not come with them; but if you request it in the order notes I will send some if I have it on hand. Â You will get one selected slip in a plastic sleeve. Â Knife not included ;>

As so often happens, I ordered this sheath for a particular knife and, of course, when it showed up, it didn’t even come close to fitting. Now, I’m not going to bother to return a sheath at this price point so I started looking around for a knife it would work with.
Bingo. The Spyderco Perrin Street Bowie is a PERFECT fit for this sheath. So if you have been searching for an alternative to the terrible plastic thing that comes with that knife, this sheath would be great. No bulky clips or belt loops or any other nonsense. Nice and flat and completely covers the blade. Snug fit. Very happy to have it!

I bought this to use with a small custom paring knife. I was concerned that it might be too big, but it fit perfectly. It is well made and smells heavenly. The Carter Apprentice Neck Knife next to it has a 4.37 in. blade for comparison.

I like the quality of this sheath in terms of uses etc the opening is narrow the sheath is flat as well so the understanding needs to be your using it for a thin bolstered knife of which I have many.

I’ve had a couple of the small slips, and I ordered this one for a small/medium sized fixed blade I have. Straight handle that’s .55″ thick exactly, pretty close to the GEC H20 handle but maybe 1/16″ longer; blade is about an inch longer than the H20 blade. Knife fits perfect in this sheath. It isn’t bulky, provides good solid retention and sturdiness, very comfy in pocket or around the neck.
