4 out of 5 Quality Big Folder With Style and Elegance
Sportmedtech (verified owner) –
If you are looking for a strong and well built folder that can be used for “tactical” tasks then this could be a viable option for you if you also want it to look unassuming when you take it out of your pocket. Although large, most people don’t freak out when they see it unlike the all DLC and G10 version of a large folder like this. While it does not have the speed of deployment of an Emerson or the ease of closing like a axis lock it is a refined and elegant in it’s execution and is more then capable of getting the job done. N690 is a good steel (slightly improved VG10 in my experience) and takes a great edge. The cocobolo version is beautiful and the fit and finish is good. Although mine has a ever so slight blade centering issue, I was able to correct it easily. Other then that this is the kind of build quality I see in very high end production knives but the price is amazing for the quality you get. I will be ordering another Viper knife and probably from collector knives as the shipping was fast, well packed and any questions or concerns I had answered promptly via email.
