5 out of 5 Great Knife

Bought this knife as a gift, mainly because I was looking at one for myself. The design is great, very classy and non-threatening. The fit and finish are great too, I couldn’t find any faults in the workmanship. This knife is actually designed to cut things and is a great slicer too. When the knife arrived it was hair shaving sharp. The tall flat grind made slicing some fruit no problem either. The only thing I could find that I didn’t care for about the knife was the opening action. Using the tang to open the knife is a fairly forceful affair, and I couldnt do it with just my thumb. Maybe this will break in over time. Also, if you want to two-hand open the knife, the cut-out to do so is so close to the pivot, it makes this operation a little awkward. However, the handle is the perfect length for a full four finger grip and the blade length and shape are perfect. I will definitely be picking up a Dan 2 in Burgundy for myself shortly.
As for shipping and communication, it was excellent. The knife shipped via priority mail and arrived within 3 days of placing my order (ordered on Sunday). Great experience all around, I will definitely be back for more!
