An excellent made knife from GEC as always. Pull on spear a 6, pull on pen 7. Both have good snap open and close. F &F is very good. Only negative about the knife is the long pull groove is hard to get to on the spear blade. All in all a great knife and great service from CK!

5 out of 5 Golden Brown Bone Northfield 78

I would rate this 78 a 9 based on all the other GEC’s that I have purchased . Pull is about a 7 or 8 on the main and 6 on the Pen . F&F is almost perfect . The one issue found , that did not affect function , was taken care of in 2 minutes . Action is smooth and knife is very clean . I did not blow out either . Jigging is very nice IMO . Cover color is very matched side to side . Blades were very sharp . Size is pretty close to ideal for me . I will carry this knife a lot . Great job by GEC and a pleasant shopping experience , as is normal , with CK .

The firm pull, fit & finish and walk & talk are as good or better than any GEC knife I own. I really like the large pen secondary blade. The coloration and jigging of the bone covers is outstanding. The knife looks like a classic from a bye gone era. The only negative is the long pull groove on the main blade is a little more hidden behind the secondary blade than I like. Although opening the spear point main is still relatively easy there is an added degree of difficulty due to the long pull not being fully exposed. Overall this is a fantastic knife.
As usaul, it was a pleasure doing business with Collector Knives. Fair prices and fast shipping make for a great buying experience.
