5 out of 5 Sleek and refined.

Really like this knife! Great stag handle scales, excellent fit and finish. I like the way the titanium bolster/liners are one piece, the nice swedging on the blade, and the way the radiused back end of the blade meets up perfectly with the radiused backspring when the knife is opened.

5 out of 5 Fantastic swayback

Great walk and talk, pull is spot on for my taste. Nicely matched stag covers and fit and finish just don’t get any better in a production knife. Last of all, it has a pinchable blade.

So glad I preordered this back in July. As the other reviewer said it has very nice walk and talk, and stag scales are attractive. Also has one of the sharpest factory edges I’ve encountered. It’s going to get a lot of pocket time!

5 out of 5 Viper Knives / CK Swayback Stag
Ross Miller (verified owner) –
This Viper has all the clean lines and refinements and quality build of the Lionsteel exclusives but with the added bonus of a much stronger pull (in my opinion) than the Lionsteel offerings. I really love it. I carry two brands of slipjoints: GEC/Northwoods and Lionsteel/Viper

Just received in my Viper/CK swayback with stag covers……..In one word…..equisite!!!!! Perfectly centered, beautiful matching stag handle covers/scales, and a really good factory grind on the blade edge. Came crazy sharp which definitely isn’t always the case straight out of the factory. Great job Viper and CK!!! Another great pick up from this company. Great customer service. Special thx to Mike for picking me out this beaut. Return customer for sure!!!

If I was handling the knife for the first time and unaware of the price, I might guess it cost $250. It’s beautiful and Impressively constructed.

5 out of 5 Viper in stag

Really well made. I will daily carry this, when I need something classier than a pocket clip, but more rugged than a GEC. I got the leather flip too, but it’s a bit deep for the viper. I added a leather lanyard, and now it’s perfect. I wish I would have bought the leather string that CK suggests.

4 out of 5 Nice knife

The stag scales on my knife were chalky in appearance with little contrast between light and dark areas. I had to rub some polish on the stag to get the chalkiness off. That brought out a little more contrast and removed the chalkiness. The knife is well balanced and feels good in my hand. The blade is dead center when closed and has a good snap opening and closing. One star removed for mediocre stag scales.

5 out of 5 Unique design in a traditional swayback
Geneknives (verified owner) –
This is a strong, little stag swayback. It seems very light, perhaps due to the titanium unified bolster-scale The handles are well matched, slightly gnarly, stag. Slender enough for my GEC small sheath. The half stop and walk & talk are real snappy. Thank you CK for a wonderful new design!

5 out of 5 Beautiful!

I couldn’t be happier with my Viper Swayback, and it hasn’t left my pocket since I got it. I really am feeling like this could be my one true daily carry knife, as it checks all of the boxes for me. The stag I received was perfect – nice texture and thickness, and a good range of color, from light to dark, from white to brown to black. The walk and talk is crisp, and the pinchable blade is nicely centered, with a super sharp edge that comes to a needle point. I am really liking these “modern traditionals”, as you get the best of both worlds. Old school charm, but with more reliable modern steels and construction. I echo other commenters that the pivot and torx body screws are much less noticeable in hand than in the pictures, and actually blend nicely into the overall asthetic. Honestly, the only nitpicky complaint that I can think of is that if we had to have a lanyard hole, then a lanyard hole tube would have made for a more polished look. As I said, it’s a nitpick.
I’ve added a pic next to a Case swayback gent and a Tidioute Pemberton 06 for size comparison. I personally find the Viper to be the perfect size – it fills the hand slightly better and feels more robust than the Case, but is still nicely pocketable.

5 out of 5 BellÃsimo Knife!
holeshot (verified owner) –
I had preordered this knife and she came today. It has exceeded my expectations. The fit and finish is outstanding (thanks for picking me a winner Mike). The stag scales are gorgeous and well matched. Walk and snap are spot on and the M-390 blade is very sharp and centered. If you are a fan of swayback’s, you won’t be disappointed in this finely crafted Italian knife.

I like swaybacks and this one does not disappoint. It’s a good looking knife, fit and finish is very good, it’s shard and it feels good in the hand. It was worth the price and the wait. I’m getting another one, that’s how much I like this knife.
