5 out of 5 High quality at a fair price

This knife is a very well made knife. It’s almost a work of art. The materials used in this knife are top grade and the craftsmanship is as good as any I have seen on any other top shelf knife. Everything fits perfectly and blade grind and centering is spot on. It has a good crisp snap and the pull is about a 6. The knife is so nice I am about afraid to carry it because I sure don’t want to loose it. It is nice to see
manufacturers take such pride in their workmanship. I am impressed. Thank you for offering this quality of an item at a fair price. I will buy more.

5 out of 5 Blonde Beauty

    (verified owner)

I asked Mike to pick me out one of these beautiful knives and he didn’t disappoint. I was sent a very nice blonde specimen. These knives are both a work of art and a joy to use. The F&F is absolutely perfect. The nail nick has been mentioned in other reviews so I won’t beat a dead horse. The pull is stout but manageable. As with any horn, there are points of character on the scales but that just makes them uniquely gorgeous in my opinion. The knife came extremely sharp and has held a very sharp edge even while putting it through normal EDC activities. The only problem I have with this purchase is now I want to order another with a different blade type in either stag or ebony!

    Thanks Mike!

5 out of 5 dark and smokey

    (verified owner)

When I ordered, I asked if they could think “dark and smokey” when choosing my dark rams horn. I Think they delivered on that and then some. I love that it matches nicely with my fountain pen (a Moonman mini N2, if anyone is curious). I even love the divot on the pile side — I don’t know if this picture shows it clearly, but there is an “imperfection” by the middle screw. When fidgeting with this knife, my thumb naturally finds this roughly thumb shaped divot, not unlike a worry stone.

The fit and finish is excellent. Because the long pulls are on either side of the knife, I find it to be reasonably pinchabe. Not the easiest to pinch open, but consistently doable. The walk and talk is very crisp, and the lock at open and half stop feels solid. This combined with it simply feeling great in hand adds up to very comfortable, confident use. The blade came razor sharp, maybe the sharpest knive I have ever had out of the box, and has held up well in a weeks worth of light daily carry use (opening boxes, slicing plastic wrappers, etc…). Overall, this is a great example of a “modern traditional”, and it hasn’t left my pocket since I received it.

Speaking of pockets, this fits nice and snug in the medium CK Tuscany slip, which I then carry in my back pocket next to my wallet. I’ll post a photo of the mark side of this knife in my review of the Tuscany slip if anyone is interested (as I can’t seem to post more than one photo per review).

I was waiting to get this Lion Steel Bolus Rams Horn. Thanks for the prompt delivery and having it brought back from my friend, it was a joy to open the box and feel it in the hand! The rams horn makes it unique and I will sure bring it around with me as much as I can!

    5 out of 5 Another Home-Run

    (verified owner)

This is my second CK Exclusive from Lion Steel, and it’s another lovely design, built with highest-quality materials. I agree with another reviewer’s comment regarding the nail nick… it’s a bit too close to center to provide typical leverage when opening the blade… but I’m still perfectly delighted with the knife, and will be considering another from this collection soon.

The Collector Knife custom design is great fantastic. Build quality is outstanding. Steel is excellent choice. Handle material received is unbelievable. My only nit is the is the nail pull is a bit to far back but works great.
