I own several Vipers with this being my first back lock. This also being my first w/ a 4″ blade. That said, everything about this knife rocks. Micarta is nice and grippy while also comfortable. I expect the 690 to perform in-line with it’s makeup. deploys very smooth with just the right amount of detent resistance. Lockup is tight x4. Although I can manage a one hand close much better using two—-like an old school hunter back lock. Ergos great for my L/XL hands. Overall, just another great knife from the Azzurri!
