5 out of 5 Dream knife

I’ve never owned anything like this. A wonderful combination for old and new. A knife that will be carried and admired for many years to come. Fit and finish are perfect. Actually everything about this knife is outstanding. I will definitely buy another with different scales to add to my EDC.

5 out of 5 A Sharp Blonde with Great Curves...

Very very sharp out of the box. The handle material is rugged but beautiful. To me this is my first slip joint without a noticeable back spring. Centering is almost perfect. Very smooth pull and snaps nicely into place. Is this love?…

5 out of 5 Superb quality and great feel in the hand

I have one other Viper knife and am always impressed w/ the smoothness of the action. Opens like silk. Surprised to find a half stop on this, very pleased. The blade is flawless and very sharp. My only complaint is the canvas Micarta absorbed some of the oil I used to oil the blade and pivot joint, now it’s stained. CK says that it isn’t going to clean up and to oil the rest of the canvas, which is what I figured would be the case. Not sure how wise it is to use canvas that absorbs everything as the handle material. But it does feel good and looks great. I am happy w/ the knife and this isn’t a deal breaker for me at all, anyone purchasing this will love it.

I just took this out of the box and was immediately impressed with it’s fit and finish. Perfectly centered blade and the liners have a beautifully rounded edge as does the spine of the blade. The Micarta is finished nicely and seems grippy enough. The edge on the blade is shaving sharp right out of the box. This is my favorite shape for a pocket knife, It’s thicker and a bit longer than a GEC 85 so it feels somewhat more stable in my hand. I like the way the detent system leaves the spine at the butt of the blade level with the casing rather than sticking up like backsprings do. It’s a keeper!

Most micarta’s are quenched from the factory; but on these I guess Viper is a bit neater with their oil than you or I.

5 out of 5 More than a gimmick

The detent system is great it provides an effective retention system for your typical needs. I love the blade shape and the factory edge was sharp and M390 has been a great steel so far. The micarta handles feel and look fantastic the screw together construction also makes them easy to remove and clean.

    5 out of 5 Viper M390 canvas

Knife is high quality and very sharp. When closing blade it does not snap shut but it has no spring to assist. Not a flaw but pay attention while closing. Great quality fit and finish great. Wish Americans were producing such quality at fair price point. Would highly recommend this knife.

    5 out of 5 Excellent

Another great collaboration in my opinion serves a slightly different purpose then the euro barlows.
Thinner behind the edge with a beautifully textured and warm micarta.
    Fit and finish flawless

    5 out of 5 Absolutely tip-top

The micarta version I received is superb. Perfectly centered, light pull with just enough snap to feel secure. And, of course, the M390 steel.

Love these “modern traditionals” with the super steels…

Great pocket knife. Love old time knife but 1095 is a pain. Love this steel and the detent vs backspring is also very cool.
