5 out of 5 Great Modern Traditional

    (verified owner)

I didn’t buy any of the first run because they didn’t seem quality. But I picked up this one becuase it checked numerous boxes for me. It is my favorite traditional pattern, it has a modern construction, great steel, and the blue micarta is cool and a bit unique.

Fit and Finish is very good. Almost GEC level.
Definitely better than a Case Sodbuster junior around the same price.

The knife has a decent pull and came sharp out of the box. The micarta has a great color and feel. I also appreciate how thin it is. It really feels well in the pocket and hand. Helping that, this is a perfect size for a sodbuster. Neither too big nor too small.

I hope to get another. This has found itself in my pocket a lot recently. Hopefully this will become a staple of Collector Knives. Makes a great carry, a great backup blade, a great gift knife, etc.

Again, please make this a staple. This is one of the best traditional patterns and one of the most difficult to find nice representations of.

If you want suggestions for future runs, I’d love an ebony with satin or polished blade. Or polished g10. A backlock or midlock variant would be welcome. Also, if you’re thinking about changing steels, N690, BD1, or 01 would all be great.

    5 out of 5 Doesn't disappoint!

    (verified owner)

No complaints about the Maserin Plow!compared to GEC Bullnose…thinner overall,a hair lighter I think, about 1/4″longer.good walk & talk.snap is very good. Not as strong as Bullnose, but definitely not weak.blade centering is great.Bullnose is polished/finished a little nicer.Torx construction means it can be disassembled or pivot adjusted if necessary.Canvas micarta scales look and feel good.A great buy for the $$.No disappointments here.I recommend to anyone who likes sodbusters. The Maserin Plow sodbuster would make a great edc or collector piece.Thank you Mike and Collector knives

5 out of 5 My second Plow

    (verified owner)

The first run Plow Sodbuster that I purchased is a super nice knife for very little money. This second run Plow Sodbuster cost a little over $20 more than the first run knife. What do you get for the extra money? Perfect blade centering, stonewash finish, beautiful canvas micarta and a fit/finish that is IMHO as good if not better than knives in the $80 to $100 dollar range. The blue micarta is smooth with just enough texture for a good grip. The blade was sharp enough out of the box to smoothly slice a piece of copy paper lengthwise in one stroke. The screw construction is a nice touch. If you favor sodbuster knives, these CK beauties are a must-have addition to your collection.

    5 out of 5 Awesome

This is in my opinion a beautiful product in the blue Micarta. It opens well and the construction is spot on. I would call this a great value for the money. More like this in this price range please.

5 out of 5 The perfect sodbuster for *me*

    (verified owner)

This CK Maserin Plow fits like a glove! I have never liked sodbusters because they are usually big, wide handle, awkward to carry, and heavy. and the “Junior” sizes being a little too small in one of the dimensions. I can’t find fault with this version of the Plow i received in any way. The construstion is superb with a flush spring at the half stop. It is thinner than most large sodbusters. It is lighter than most large sodbusters. pinchable pull. D2 steel. A great Blue micarta with subtle green undertones. Screw constructionwith adjustable pivot and looks like the blade pivots on washers (i have not dissassembled yet). The inside of the liners and backspring is polished. All that and it’s under $60 shipped! Good golly Miss Molly! This may end up being the best kept secret of the maserin CK line. More patterns produced like this from Maserin please.

5 out of 5 Excellent EDC

    (verified owner)

Great fit and finish. Razor sharp D2 blade. Way better than Case (no comparison). At least as good if not better than GEC in quality and with way better steel for its blade. A great buy.

5 out of 5 Great EDC

    (verified owner)

Perfect slim sized EDC pocketknife with good fit and finish that looks great at a good price. The day it was delivered I used it in the garden to cut dried pumpkin vines and it worked flawlessly. I’ve always have been a Sodbuster fan and this is my new favorite. I now want one in Olive Wood as a collector piece. Highly recommended. Just wish it was made in the USA.
