    5 out of 5 A user's perfect pocketknife

    (verified owner)

I am a user not a collector. I have always carried a pocket knife, usually in my vest wearing a 3 piece suit or working vest. I have used the standard “users” like a Swiss Army Knife and even a few pretty knives given me by my daughters. Finally I decided to look for the right knife rather than just enjoy gifts and accidental acquisitions.
I was fortunate to find CollectorKnives after surfing ebay, various websites and discussion forums trying to figure out the ideal knife.
In the end I could not decide between the Lionsteel Best Man 2 blade Jack and the Lionsteel Warhorse 2 blade Barlow. I bought both.
I have used each for about 10 days. Each has just the right weight, just the right size in the hand opened and closed, each has terrific edge sharpness for cutting though twine, tape and cardboard boxes as well as flowers in my garden. So I have a new conundrum: how to choose just one. That will await at least 6 months of shared duty.
This is too long for collectors but I hope the next simple user who stumbles upon this terrific site can help find his way to one of these terrific knives. I cannot make sensible observations about things like “pull” or where the knife fits in the total Lionsteel lineup level of finish. The pull is just right. The weight is just right. The edges cut everything like hot butter. Get one.
