5 out of 5 Great small game knife

The M1is a small fixed-blade knife, but it is the perfect size and shape for field dressing deer, small mammals, birds, and fish. The blade was razor sharp out of the box, and the materials, fit, and finish are first rate – exactly what I’ve come to expect from Lion Steel. The leather sheath is beautifully crafted of thick leather and holds the knife very securely. In my opinion this knife is particularly well suited for any precise cutting chores on game, and it is ideally sized to perform the exact cuts necessary for caping a deer skull.

5 out of 5 LionSteel Continues to Impress!

    (verified owner)

Before ordering the M1 I had spent some time with the M4 and I was looking for a smaller fixed blade version that was a bit more practical to throw in a bag. The M1 is perfect and has the same level of attention to detail. I don’t have a single complaint about the knife and the sheath is perfectly suited for its more casual intention. LionSteel is my #1 brand right now!

    Question

Is the sheath horizontal carry or vertical? How does it carry in a pants pocket?

Vertical. Too big for me to want to carry it in front pocket, but for those that want a fixed blade in their front pocket – it would be fine.
