5 out of 5 great knife ... great material

I like the way copper ages and develops a patina. I polished off the protective coating with 2000 grit and jewelers rouge to allow that to happen. Will pair up with a couple of solid copper pens to meet EDC needs.

Nice knife, I’ve been impressed with LionSteel. The copper adds a nice ‘heft’ to the knife…because lightness isn’t always better.

5 out of 5 Great Modern Slipjoint

I’m liking the knife so far, its nice having m390 so you dont have to be too worried about rust and always have a sharp edge unless you are mean on knives. Comes very sharp out of box. Box isn’t too special but at least its not just a plain paper box. I only wish LionSteel would answer emails, there is some kind of coating on the copper, likely to protect it during shipping and storage. I bought this knife to watch the copper patina as carried it though so id like to know the manufacturers recommended way to remove the coating without having to wait for it to go away with use. I also asked if they were meant to be taken apart, they have normal screws that seem to be easy to take out but i don’t want to mess with the action if its not going to be easy to get back together. I have yet to get a response from them but that’s not the knives fault. It’s nice knife and a good way to get a lower maintenance slipjoint.
