I own a number of slipjoints from top brands, and the Lionsteel Barlow will stand up against any of them (and exceed most of them). The attention to detail is excellent – not a single flaw of any sort that I can find. The blade is perfectly centered, the transition from the scales to the bolster is smooth, the ‘walk and talk’ is exactly how it should be – not too soft, not too stiff, and with a solid snap.
On a more subjective note, I think it represents an artful blend of traditional and modern. This really is a very unique, well-done and practical slip, intended for real use.
