5 out of 5 My new favorite knife.

    (verified owner)

Since losing my childhood favorite pocketknife, a perfect single-blade Barlow with smooth bone scales, in a burglary in 1979, I’ve searched for something that could replace it. I may finally have found it. This knife is simple, confident, direct and no nonsense, but it is also simply exquisite. It’s comfortable, beautiful opened or closed, and asks to be used as much as admired. It is tougher than my Moki with carbon fiber scales and more finely made than my old Case 1002, an altogether nearly perfect little folder. Now I need to justify picking up the sheep’s foot and spear point versions as well.

5 out of 5 Absolutely perfect!

    (verified owner)

Had wanted one of these since I first laid eyes on them so I finally pulled the trigger and wow am I glad I did. It is very near a perfect slipjoint for my tastes anyways. First, it is simply beautiful. Fit and finish is nearly flawless. The natural canvas micarta paired with the titanium is to me, the ideal combo for a “modern traditional”. The “walk and talk” is great. Very easy to simply “pinch” the knife open, but backspring is still strong enough that I have zero worries of it closing on me, and still snaps back into place on the close. Blade was very sharp OOTB and being M390, I’m sure it will stay that way basically forever with occasional stropping. Only negative is I wish it would’ve came with a slip included. But, luckily, I had a slip that came with an Opinel No. 8 and it fits perfect. So, problem solved. Customer service was top notch and shipped very quickly. Couldn’t recommend more. Great all the way around. Will definitely be doing more business with CK and Lion Steel in the future. A++!

5 out of 5 Contemporary Traditional Perfection

    (verified owner)

I just want to give a huge round of applause to CollectorKnives and LionSteel for what they accomplished here.

I’m a big fan of both contemporary modern knives as well as traditional old school knives and I’ve been interested in a crossover for a long time but so many other options miss the mark on striking the right balance and lose the essence of one or the other. The CK01 knives absolutely nail it perfectly.

This knife utilizes all the modern “upgrades” and materials to their fullest while still maintaining the genuine personality and essence of a classic old school barlow.

This knife is everything I hoped it would be and more. Fit and finish is great, walk and talk is perfect, grinds are super clean, the engineering solution to how they finished the backspacer and liners is genius, and the price is shockingly reasonable.

An instant new favorite knife. Thanks CK and LionSteel for making this knife guy’s dream come true.

Also, just wanted to add that shipping was super quick!

5 out of 5 Perfect blend of modern and traditional

    (verified owner)

I’d had been wanting one of the Lion Steel barlows for awhile but couldn’t decide between the Shuffler and the Roundhead. I finally decided on the Shuffler and I really couldn’t be happier. This knife hasn’t left my pocket since it arrived. It’s really a great secondary knife. It’s right up there with my GEC #77 but I’m not afraid to use the Lion Steel. The micarta is beautiful. The blade grind is very good and it arrived sharp.
