I just received mine from an Early Reserve and couldn’t be happier. Lion Steel and CK have knocked it out of the park with this beauty. If you are on the fence, grab it because I’d bet these are gonna go fast. It is pinch-able, around a 6 pull, good snap, the blade is sharp with an even edge. The edge of the spring is ROUNDED as are the liners, edges of the covers, as well as the spine of the blade until it meets the swedge. If you are unsure of the color of the horn, I’ll admit I was also. I’ve seen a lot of pics on a forum and I’ve yet to see one that replicates the photo in the example above. Just keep that picture in your head when you think Ram’s Horn and you’ll be OK. Besides, you can use the comments section on the order form to make a request. Remember, a request is a request.
Just get one, you won’t be sorry.

I purchased this knife on Early Reserve, and have to say it is one of the best built modern slip joints I currently own. The pull is a 7/10 for me fit and finish is a 8/10, a couple if the screws are set slightly deeper in the scale and the scales match fairly well for Horn.
Will be adding more of these CK models from Lion Steel!

I have been trying to get a GEC Barlow for years. Never successful. I bought this modern Barlow on my first try. Very nice. Excellent walk and talk. Nice fit and finish. Fantastic blade steel. I may need to buy all 3 blade styles now. Get one . They are exceptional.

This is the third Lion Steel Barlow in rams horn I bought. First edition and second edition went into collection mode. This one is going to get used. The sheeps foot blade is just so handy it has to see use. As a previous poster said, I am a big fan of the barlow pattern, have been since I was a kid. Highly recommended!

My wife gave me a Lionsteel Dom with ram’s horn handles for Christmas and it is a gorgeous knife and very impressive. The pull, i would say, is a 5/10 which is a little light for me but no gripes and is very smooth. This knife is very well built and solid but light! The horn handles do not match on either side at all but they are absolutely beautiful. The walk and talk is basicly perfect and so is fit and finish. I just sharpened it for the first time and this blade is very easy to sharpen with diamond stones and sharpened just as quick as my 1095 knives and the blade geometry is exquisite. Also the etch in the blade is deep and well done. I doubt you will be disappointed. I want one of every flavor.

First was a Roundhead. I’ve been thinking of picking up another all year and finally pulled the trigger on a Dom with sheep horn covers. I’m sure glad I did before they are history. I really wanted one with ebony covers with the M390 steel but they were sold out. I am extremely pleased with my choice. The horn is beautiful and the fit and finish is the same as the Roundhead. Absolute perfection. Really if you are on the fence get one before they sell out. You will be delighted. As always, CK is the place (and the only place) to get the CK special Lionsteel knives and all things sharp. 10 stars!

This is everything you could ask for in a modern slipjoint. Modern lightweight materials with a super steel and unique covers make this more than worth the price tag. Really appreciate the fact that CK took my comments at checkout into consideration, the ram’s horn I received has great texture and coloring. The blade is beautifully shaped and razor sharp as well, and it came perfectly centered. If you’re on the fence, take the leap!

The quality and craftsmanship of this knife just oozes out from the second you take it out of the box. Walk and talk is very crisp and satisfying, and the blade is seriously sharp and ready to slice and dice. The star of the show is obviously the ram horn scales, which absolutely amazed me in person. I asked for a nice color variation of lights and darks in the Notes To Seller section, and CK delivered with perfection. Each side has its own personality and color tones, and varies greatly from light to dark (see photos). Another extremely happy customer here, thanks a lot CK!

I’ve had the Shuffler and the Roundhead for a while. I knew I wanted a Dom to complete the set. My Dom is just as nice as the other 2. The rams horn covers are very unique. The blade grind is excellent as are the mechanics. The centering on the Dom is ever so slightly off but not enough to worry about and I wouldn’t even mention it if the Shuffler and Roundhead hadn’t been dead on.
