This knife is a celebration. Just to hold, feel the weight, the heft. While it’s sheer mass is impressive wait until you grab hold of the master blade, heave it from its cradle and bring it around straight locking into place light a bank vault door. GEC craftsmen created something special in these Whalers. The fit and finish on this one is flawless. Beware of the strong pull which is to be expected on such a beast. Out of many GEC knives I’ve purchased this is the first one that arrived shaving sharp. The huge blade has a fantastic grind to an ultra thin edge.
Muscle bone scales full of character and hafted beautifully. I couldn’t be more pleased.

For being one of G.E.C. all time Great patterns I feel like they let a lot of people down! No BLADE etching and just a plain old Tidioute tube! Had expected a lot more out of this.
