This is the first Osage I’ve had and I’m a big fan of the colors and gain depth. I’m looking forward to seeing how it weathers.

4 out of 5 Almost Perfect

    (verified owner)

This pattern is one I’ve been waiting for. The combination of these three blades are perfect – love the long awl/punch (highly underrated IMO).

While some may argue that a 3 spring knife is not a whittler or a knife without a spey blade a stockyard.

I’m more concerned with how a knife handles, that each blade is well centered (relation to each other, no ribs) and spring tension is taut, and lastly how it carries in the pocket. I carry and use my knifes daily, this one is a dandy in my books.

Only graded 4/5, because the pins are set below flush and I feel the edges of the holes on my palm/fingers when in use. Something i can fix and will wear smooth over time.

    4 out of 5 Osage Orange #29

An almost perfect three-blade whittler. This includes all of its fit and finishes, the wood handle, the brushed bolsters, and the sturdy snappy blades that utilize three back-springs. However, included is some minor blade-rub between the main and the coping blades.

    5 out of 5 Superb

    (verified owner)

All GEC knives are superb, but this one is a cut above and fully deserves Collector Knives’ Factory Effort rating of “9”. Almost mechanically perfect. Next step up is a custom knife costing much, much more.
