5 out of 5 Big brute of a knife very well done

Customer service from CK was excellent. I received notification my knife had shipped almost immediately. Very well packaged as usual but I was a little disappointed that CK was unable to provide the slip. I knew this was a big knife but was still taken aback when I actually had it in hand. It’s nearly as big as a Buck 110. I wasn’t sure about the Woodland Micarta but as soon as I gripped the knife I knew that GEC had made the right choice. It looks better in person and gives the user a great purchase. I don’t have any issue with the strong pull. With a large knife I prefer a stronger pull and this isn’t a nail breaker.

5 out of 5 great knife !

Purchased this knife to replace an old Parker Imai bullet jigged bone trapper which has performed well for many years. This knife is so well made I have a hard time using it !! The pull is a bit strong but not a nail breaker. The blades are sharp, centered, and have a walk and talk that is good. Buy one when back in stock and you will not be disappointed

5 out of 5 GEC pioneer trapper

First great service as always from collector knives. This is a great knife fit & finish is what I have come to expect from GEC pull is strong but for this size knife it is perfect. The woodland micarta is a great choice on this knife. I think GEC knocked it out of the park with this one

5 out of 5 #23 Pioneer Trapper
Desmond Hoorn (verified owner) –
First & foremost great customer service. Delivery notification stated that I would receive the knife on 8 June, but received on 5 June. But this knife has not left my side since I received it. Beast of a knife, but great grip & feel from the Woodland Micarta handle. Love the belly on the spey blade, but overall F & F on another GEC knife. Last but not least, anticipated a strong pull, but not as stiff as my 2011 #23, especially on the clip point blade. Again great product from GEC & outstanding customer service from CK, God Bless.

5 out of 5 A Great Large Trapper, with a super strong pull
Craig Iwata (verified owner) –
In-person this knife is more amazing than the pictures. This is a beast, all 6 ounces of it. But it doesn’t carry heavy. The fit and finish is great. The only comment I would make is that the pull is super strong. For a knife this size, it is better to be on the heavy side than on the light side. I love the texture of the micarta, for a best like this I wouldnt want a smooth finish.

Glad GEC is making #23’s again and this product is a home run. This is a knife to EDC and would make a great knife to have when you’re lost in the woods

5 out of 5 Pioneer Trapper
Brent Morris (verified owner) –
I just received a GEC Pioneer Trapper in Woodland Muslin… It is definitely built to take a Whoopin’!!….. GEC never missed a beat after the Covid shutdown ended.. The fit and finish is every bit as good as pre-covid manufacturing… I like the Micarta with the deep trenches milled in it…. They enhance both appearance and grip ability…. The pull is stout but I’m a 71 year old Codger with arthritic hands and I can open both blades without a problem….. It is a great knife from CK and GEC…
