Fit & Finish are excellent. Lightweight. Pull is about 6 (perfect). Blade perfectly centered. No visible gaps. No noticeable gaps between nickel plated bolsters and cocobolo scales. Snaps shut and open. Solid half stop. Very good affordable GEC Knife. Excellent service and prompt delivery from Mike and CK.

Typical of GEC this knife has great fit and finish. Top quality wood. The only thing that made it any better than what it was when it left the factory was the service I received from Mike at Collector Knives. Mike and his staff are very professional with vast knowledge of the knife industry. The pull on this knife is top notch. The snap in all three positions is perfect in my opinion. The grain and character on the cocobolo is gorgeous. Compared to my Old Timer this knife is like a sports car to a 93 accord lol. Great job GEC!

This pocket knife is typical of GEC quality… Excellent, with some seriously pretty wood scales… I love Cocobolo anyway, so i knew i needed this little knife… The scales are beautifully done and the cocobolo is great to look at…Straight grain with lots of contrast, very beautiful, indeed… Another plus for us guys that carry a knife; these wooden scales wont break like bone does if ya accidentally drop your pocket knife… An all round, well done little knife…

GEC hit another home run with their 78 American Jack. Yet again, they’ve refined and improved a traditional pattern in this single bladed workhorse. The snap is definitive and crisp in all positions (half-stop, open and close), and the fit and finish is top notch. The cocobolo scales on the knife I received have beautiful grain, with lots of character. The blade is sharp and sturdy and ready to get to work, right out of the tube. Service from CollectorKnives was just right, with good communication along the way and prompt shipping. I will be buying my next GEC from them.
