5 out of 5 Big ole Remington pattern Trapper!

Big and beautifully made. There is nothing flawed about this knife. This is normal from GEC and I suppose I should stop wasting my time trying to find some. Perfectly centered blades when closed. Flush backsprings at the half and fully open stops. Absolutely no blade play in any position. These are things I expect from GEC and this 23 doesn’t disappoint in any respect. If you don’t have a 23 in your GEC collection, you can’t do better than this one. I have two other 23 patterns. A one blade from 2008 and the other is a two blade from 2011 I think. This new one has easier pull action than the earlier models. Good! The other thing I should mention is Collectors Knives packaging for shipping. I have ordered knives from all over the world and Mike & Co. at CK pack better than anyone and get your knife to you quick. Greatly appreciated! Edward.

5 out of 5 Beautiful and useful at the same time.

I was initially on the fence about this version of the 23 because of the non-jigged scales, preferring jigging for increased grip. After seeing how beautiful the Antique Autumn bone turned out I went ahead and ordered one, I could sell it if I didn’t like it. Now that it’s in hand I don’t plan on letting it go, in fact it went straight into a sheath and onto my belt. The knife is big enough to hang onto comfortably without fear of slipping. The half stops in my opinion are an excellent safety feature preventing it from closing completely if I do something stupid, especially with as strong of a backspring as both blades have. The pull is always stronger on a knife this size but isn’t a problem for me thanks to the quality of the workmanship making it smooth.

5 out of 5 Pioneer Trapper Autumn Bone

This is the 3rd of the current run of 23’s for me….. The spey blade on this one is the heaviest pull thus far…. Workmanship is wonderful, as GEC is known to produce….. I really like the handles… They remind me of Oily Creek Bone which was offered in some 2019 knives… If you are looking for a heavy duty knife from CK this one won’t disappoint…
