I worried I would never own a stockman pattern GEC knife – especially in Sambar Stag. Well, today I have one and I’m stoked. The knife is 99% perfect. I’m thrilled with the pull and the snap. Blade rub is not an issue – no extra seems required to avoid rubbing. I don’t know how to judge stag handles but I know I like what I have.

No doubt in my mind or eyes that no one out does GEC when it comes to stag covers. This one has the best matched scales of all the stag handled knives I own. The front and back look like the same piece! Of course the rest is typical GEC. Darn near perfect. Very slight rubbing between the secondary blades. Fit and finish really leaves nothing to complain about. Another fantastic knife from GEC and another quality experience from Collectors Knives. Five stars + Ed
