I don’t collect “old timey” knives anymore but I have given away all but about a dozen to friends and family. This knife is excellent and I would give it a 9. It is slim with a long throw that I can’t quite pinch but that is ok. I prefer a well shaped spear point over a clip and this 78 is shaped perfectly.
It came pretty sharp (GEC has had some that lean towards dull) and I spent about 15 minutes with some 400-800-1000 wet/dry paper by 3M to get it just right.
You can’t beat Mike L. to buy from.
