5 out of 5 Excellent traditional EDC

This is a lovely little knife built with the top notch fit and finish we expect from GEC. In the last two years F&F appears to have gotten even better. No rub at all on my blades and very smooth solid action. The Farm and Field version of this knife, aside from the obvious lack of bolsters, has slightly thicker liners for a little bit more rigidity and strength. Otherwise quality is on par with the Tidioute version. I carry one of these near every day. You can’t go wrong with this beautiful offering from GEC.

5 out of 5 Excellent Tool

    (verified owner)

I also have the Tidioute trim Pocket Carver. Both knives are very well done, but this Farm and Field version feels more like a tool. It is a bit more rough finish wise (mostly on the liners) and significantly lighter. The red and black micarta is absolutely beautiful. It is smooth to the touch and has a pseudo wood grain look that I dig. I really hope GEC uses mixed micarta again in the future. As with the Tidioute version, this one is a split back, which is all kinds of cool. Pull on the secondary blades is on the light side, but they are still snappy. Kinda wish one of the secondaries was a different blade shape, but I get it. Overall I really like this knife and I hope GEC does F&F more often.
