5 out of 5 An interesting walk down memory lane....

I like unusual, and pretty good sized knives… This one is both… It has three interesting features… The first, a locking wharncliffe blade… The second, a “one arm man blade”… A genuine obscurity from the long ago… And thirdly, it’s a good sized knife… This knife was never designed to be a “country gentleman’s bone handled show and tell knife”; it was designed to be a workman’s knife… It does that admirably; with a good bit of nostalgia thrown in… I love the OD micarta scales as well… They may dent when dropped or mistreated; they will not break like a bone scale will… This knife reminds me of my boyhood (…a long time ago…) when knives were used as tools and not collectibles… The fit and finish is pure GEC… It’s excellent… If ya need a “user”; this is it… If ya need a “collectible”; this is it too… Nothin not to like about this one…

5 out of 5 More than promised

First of all this is in no way a small knife, it’s not huge either. The comfort of the Micarta scales is great as is the blade placements. I for one would have preferred the “razor” as the locking blade but that’s just me. Fit and finish is what is to be expected from GEC and the walk and talk are a home run (are you listening W.R.Case). Now, you do need to be a fan of half stops in order to be in love with this knife. Overall I would highly recommend this knife to a friend. And the service at Collectorknives is great as well. I will certainly be purchasing another GEC product from them.
