5 out of 5 A perfect 10

I received a perfect specimen, far exceeded my expectations. The backsprings, liners, and covers are all perfect. The bolster transitions are exceptional, even for Case. The bone color and Roger’s jigging is stunning. The edges of all 3 blades are honed without the usual toothy finish, no need to hone before pocket carry. Blade alignment is spot on, although the blades touch by design (there are no gaps on the frame that allow for complete separation. This is the first I’ve seen of Case’s larger medium stockman frame with 3 backsprings. This one really hit the mark. I only have one other Case that is this perfect, my blue jigged bone swayback jack with warncliff/pen blades. Mike gave this run a 7 for overall factory effort, but I got a 10 out of this batch. I have 2 near perfect GEC’s in my collection and they both have more flaws than this Case specimen and my Case swayback. My two GEC’s are a close second and equal to my Case equestrian. My other Case knives and my Schatt & Morgan Keystone fall in behind these for fit and finish. I would love to get more of these stockman’s in different bone colors.
