This is my first experience with the Mini Copperhead pattern. I like the Wharncliffe blade and I like the Pen blade too but I’m not crazy about the position of the Pen blade when fully opened. No fault of the knife itself, just not my preference. Fortunately, I don’t use Pen blades of this smallish size very often so it won’t be too much of a problem for me anyway.
The fit & finish on my example is very good with the exception of a moderately sized gap between the backspring and liner on one side. It’s the only reason that I didn’t give this knife a five star rating.
Overall, it’s a nice design and well built with good snap and no blade play. For a Wharncliffe blade of this size I’ve gotten spoiled by the Case Sway Back Gent but this is a good little knife too. I think if you like the size and like what you see in the pictures, you’ll be happy with this pattern.
