4 out of 5 Prime Stag Barlow

Very nice hefty Barlow with great finishes. The custom handles have similar color tones and are very well shaped. The blade operation is is acceptable, but not perfect, because the main blade is a little loose and has some slight blade-rub due to periodic contact with the liner. Overall I am pleased, thanks.

5 out of 5 Glad I bought it

I am glad I decided to buy this Case Barlow Prime Stag. The stag scales are gorgeous, natural, earthy & feel good to the hand. The workmanship is of highest quality. The main blade did not snap closed at first but after some mineral oil & opening & closing a few times and now it works smooth with good snap. Very quick delivery from CK.

I was extremely impressed with the knife! Awesome stag handles, beautiful piece. I was even more surprised that when I placed my order it was even cheaper than listed. It arrived in about three days and CK exceeded my expectations!

4 out of 5 What to expect
TravisW-P (verified owner) –
I bought this knife with no real expectations other than to get a good looking Barlow from Case, and was not disappointed. The blade centering was perfect on both blades, the polish was nicer than what I’ve come to expect from Case, the stag is excellent, and the engraving was pristine and deep on the bolster. However, there is a tiny gap between one bolster and the liner, the edge grind is uneven, and the main blade has a bit of play (I mean the tiniest amount). What you’re getting from Case may be some of the best work they’re putting out in such a gorgeous pattern, despite the minor flaws.
