I received my Case Green Zebra Wood Barlow today. I was surprised by several things. But that is only because I didn’t give it much thought from photos of it I have seen. Often with barlows the scales are wider as you go to the end of the knife. I think to help fill your hand. These wood scales are the same thickness as the bolsters. But that gives you a very narrow knife that disappears in your pocket. The zebra wood looks much better in person. I had confused Collector Knives with another retailer that only sold used items. So I thought this was used. But when I saw the box. Then the paper that was wrapping the knife, I could tell it was brand new. The other reason I thought it was used was it is 6 years old. So I assumed. Fit and finish was perfect with one annoying exception. It had considerable blade wobble. I thought about sending it back or to Case. But I have fixed this before myself so I just did it. It is fine now. I know Case has changed how the check for blade wobble and things have been better the past year or so. And they say they are trying to improve overall fit and finish as well. I think I have noticed this. But it shouldn’t have gotten to the point it did in the first place. But overall I am pleased with this knife. It would have gotten 5 stars if it didn’t have the blade wobble. Collector Knives was awesome as well. They had the shipping label printed within 3 hours of me placing my order. Can’t beat that. I wish they had more Case knives. I admit I am a fan boy. But I also say it how it is in my reviews. Thanks for your great service. The 3 stars is not for Collector knives. It is for the knife, which these reviews are supposed to be about. If you want a rating for Collector Knives it is 5 stars. Awesome.
