4 out of 5 Solid Barlow from Case

Given how spotty Case’s QC has been I was skeptical, but couldn’t pass on one of my favorite patterns. Very minimal gaps, excellent walk and talk, and nice size and feel in hand. The tip is a little rounded and the grind and factory sharpening was a bit wonky. No surprise there, but easily solved. I like it!

The grind was a bit wonky but that is easy to fix, perfect centering, nice walk and talk, nice color, looks nice in the display case but will get a lot of pocket time.

4 out of 5 Where’s the Point?

Overall a nice Barlow knife. Ordered two, one as a user, other to be gifted. Both of them came with a rough working edge that cut that needed some touch up. Both came with a rounded over point on the “spear point” that could not penetrate much. Hopefully as Case produces more of these they will figure out how to put a better point on them.
