Description
These are stainless bails made for knives with the lanyard hole. Â We have also used them on sheaths with rivets, etc. Â There are two sizes. Â The small is the same size that comes on GEC knives and will fit most knives. Â The large is big enough for thicker knives, such as a fixed blade or the GEC #35 Calf Pen.
You will need to spread and close these evenly from center to make sure consistent shaping when installed. Â Pliers with covered teeth to prevent marking are what we use to install. Â It does take a little patience to do correctly.

These work great and are reasonably priced. They’re strong and sturdy and aren’t going to break or bend by accident.
They’re easy to open by putting a pair of pliers in them and opening the pliers. Once the opening is big enough they’re easy to install on the knife by slowly clamping it shut in a bench vise.

They are a heavy gauge wire and are nicely formed. I bought the small to replace the bail on a GEC #15 and would not recommend for that purpose. The small is a little too narrow, and the bail hole on the knife set too deeply on the scale, for freedom of movement. But the bail itself is great otherwise. On the small, the interior dimension is close to 1mm wide and 1.5mm high (before the radius of the curve begins to obstruct movement). The large interior dimension is about 1.5mm wide x 1.5mm high (before the radius of the curve). The large would be about right for a Fallkniven Gentleman. Purchased several of each to have on hand for various project. Glad they are available.

I enjoy the looks of a knife as well as its usefulness. Lanyard rings will add a little character to an otherwise plain pocket knife these are good quality and it is good that they are solid and hard to bend otherwise they would not hold up to hard use etc.

I rated the bails a 4 and not a 5 only because they are very hard to flex in order to install them in the lanyard hole. The small size is perfect for pocket knives. Delivery was fast as always. I installed mine in a Benchmade Proper slipjoint and attached a pocket clip to it.
