Description

We have used many different products to inhibit rust as we store some things for a long time.  Also, there are some knives that seem to want to rust while you are looking at them.  For the joints I use Slick50, but you can get that just as easy as I can.  For a protectant I have used spray silicone, frog lube, etc.  My current favorite CLP (cleaner, lubricant, protectant) is Seal1.  It is easy to apply; common sense packaging; and it has hundreds of testimonials on youtube, etc. for the magic it works.

If you want to test it yourself, put a note on your knife order during checkout to include a sample tube.  Then you will be back to pick up more later.  This 4oz container will last a very long time.

I have have bought this pasted in the squeeze bottle and plastic jar before. The jar is the way to go and much easier to use without waist. Great on knives and guns !

    Question

Is it safe to use this on kitchen knives, or is mineral oil still the best option? I’m especially interested in using this on camp knives.

It is a Non-Toxic, USDA Certified Biobased product. Thus, I wouldn’t make a diet of it – but it is good for protecting metal that is used in food preparation.

5 out of 5 Paste vs Liquid

    (verified owner)

Paste will last longer it appears, and is as effective a product as the liquid every application. Best way I know to protect and maintain that cutlery in tip-top fashion. Another old-fashioned quality product from the number one knife seller on the net.
