Description
We have used many different products to inhibit rust as we store some things for a long time. Â Also, there are some knives that seem to want to rust while you are looking at them. Â For the joints I use Slick50, but you can get that just as easy as I can. Â For a protectant I have used spray silicone, frog lube, etc. Â My current favorite CLP (cleaner, lubricant, protectant) is Seal1. Â It is easy to apply; common sense packaging; and it has hundreds of testimonials on youtube, etc. for the magic it works.
If you want to test it yourself, put a note on your knife order during checkout to include a sample tube. Â Then you will be back to pick up more later. Â This 4oz container will last a very long time.

Get this with an order by all means. I sure can’t tell you more than the first review, but I can say it will cure what ails your blade. It will keep it looking and working in perfect order. I have yet to get anything less than great from Mike and CK. That’s why I’ve been a customer for over 8 years, (off and on.)

Mike recommended that I try a sample tube of Seal1 with my next order. I wasn’t really looking to try a new CLP but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try it since I was buying a knife anyway and it came so highly recommended.
So far I’ve used it to lubricate the joints on four knives. Two of those knives had sticky action and poor snap. The other two had no problems with the action or the snap. Seal1 livened up the action and snap on the two problem knives better than any other lubricant that I’ve tried in the past. And it did so on contact. As soon as the product contacted the joints it immediately solved both problems on those knives. In my experience, other lubricants would have also improved the action and snap but not at this level and not as quickly. One of the knives had such a sticky action that I didn’t think anything would improve it and I thought there was no way that knife could ever have snap like it does now. No change in the two knives that were OK but those knives had no room for improvement in the first place.
This product is designed primarily for use on firearms to help make future cleanings easier. I applied a little too much Seal1 on one of the knives and it left me with a bolster that was soaked in the stuff. I thought “what the heck” so I went ahead and spread it over the entire exterior of the knife. Left it on for a few minutes and wiped it off as suggested. It was an Ebony handled knife. After that application the knife has a very clean feel to it that it never had before before. Hard to describe but the effects of the Seal1 are evident.
I like the product a lot and I believe it is light years ahead of other CLP’s. Give it a try if the mood should strike you. It’s good stuff.

I have a 2018 Boker Tree Sambar Stag Hunter slip-joint that was stiff out of the box. It started working a little better after 10 seconds. I even tried Lucas Extreme on this knife. This is miracle stuff !
