Description
OK, on the heels of the very successful pocket slip, we have went a bit further. Â There are some knives that are just too big to let fall into your pocket. Â Or maybe you just need the knife a little more accessible. Â Thus, we have shortened the slips and put a heavy duty clip on them for pocket carry. Â Although after looking at them, I discovered they would work equally well on a belt or boot since this clip is designed for verstaile heavy duty use.
Outside dimensions: Small ( 1 9/16″ x 3 1/8″) and Large (1 13/16″ x 3 3/4″)
We contracted these ourselves from Europe of Tuscany vegetable tanned leather and are extremely proud of them. Â Since we have two sizes they will not fit every knife perfectly, but we simply can’t have an inventory of 30 different sizes. Â Many knives will fit in both, just depending on how much knife you want in the leather and how high you want it to ride.
All Large are currently out of stock.
You will get one selected slip in a plastic sleeve.
I have some COA’s (certificates of authenticity) that I bought to offer optionally to those that are interested in that type of thing. Â Below is the gist of what the certificate says other than a number and official trademark and consortium stamping.
“This trademark certificates that this leather has been tanned exclusively with natural tannins of vegetable origins and does not contain substances prohibited by law.  Tannin extracts are a fundamental ingredient for the slow tanning process and the quality of its result.  Small veins, wrinkles and imperceptible scratches eventually present on the leather prove its naturalness rendering each skin one of a kind.  Still nowadays, in the heart of Tuscany, our master tanners remain faithful to their century-old  artisan productions, a combination of tradition and up-to-date technology.  the trademark Pelle Conciata al Vegetale in Toscana protects and protmotes these principles.“

Will the large slip fit snuggly the new Lion Steel Roundhead (in standby order with CK?
Will the large slip also fit my Benchmade 319 Proper?

Mike Latham –
The Lion Steel Roundhead fits the Medium-Wide slip. Haven’t handled a Proper, but I would say Large-Wide according to specs.

Clip slip has only ever came in Small / Large. Medium Wide has only ever been on the pocket slip.

I have been very impressed with the quality of these sheaths I own one with the clip and another without and find them comfortable to use and gives me peace of mind that I won’t scratch up my knives in my daily carry.

Tuscany Leather Clip Slip

The small Clip Slip was too small for my Mini Copperlock but fits my Buck Mini Tool perfectly.

The clip-slips were made for the knife to stick out the top for easy access since protection from keys/change is not a concern where it is going to ride. They were not made for any sized knife to fit completely into.

5 out of 5 Well made and versatile

I carried a Victorinox Swiss Army Super Tinker in my watch pocket for a few months. It’s a pretty wide knife for watch pocket carry and I got tired of reaching past it to grab my primary cutter from my right front pocket.
I thought I would try one of the Small Clip Slips and see how it works. So far, so good.
As you can see in my photos, The Super Tinker stretches the Small Clip Slip to its limits. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend it for such a wide knife but personally I’m very happy with the slip for this knife.
My jeans have a little loop between the left side front and rear pockets and the knife/slip assembly fits snug in the little loop.
I’m probably going to buy another Small Clip Slip to use with other knives. The slips are very well made and the clip seems very sturdy. The stitching hasn’t budged despite the fact that I’ve got the leather stretched to the max. The leather is really nice too.
These are good quality slips and well worth the price. I’m going to need at least one more.

4 out of 5 Excellent leather.

The only weak point here is the clip, which holds the pocket with less force than the leather holds the knife. I was quite impressed with overall build quality and fit and finish.
