In the 1970’s Frank Buster contracted the Olbertz factory in Solingen Germany to make his Fight’n Rooster Knives. For this time-frame, the carbon steel these German cutlers were using was unbeatable when it came to cutting abilities. Compared to today the fit and finish on the Fight’n Rooster knives is not exceptional; but during this time when they were transitioning from tools to collectible items – Fight’n Rooster knives were quite impressive. Most have tight backsprings and you need to pay close attention to the descriptions, as this 30-40 year old carbon steel will have some oxidation in most cases. But for those collectors that cut your teeth on Fight’n Rooster knives; these are becoming very hard to find. And we will be offering most at “using knife” prices.
