  1. Didn't expect to love this knife this much

Posted by on 21st Feb 2017

Fit and finish exceeded expectations. stout pull and good snap both opening and closing. The delrin handle is buttery smooth but still offers an excellent grip. This knife hasn't left my pocket since arrival.

  2. Excellent Quality

Posted by on 12th Feb 2017

A superior alternative to the Case Sodbusters in my opinion. Fit and finish is much better than the Case ones I own. The lanyard hole is nice to have as well and the pull is stout with a half stop. Think I'll get a knife brite one too when they are available! Also, CK has the fastest shipping that I've experienced. Don't miss out on this one!

  3. Bullnose is such a solid knife

Posted by on 8th Feb 2017

Stout and solid, yet amazingly light and pocketable, and generally cheap, the Bullnose might be one of the best values available. Top notch F&F.

I absolutely love this knife. Adding an orange option is great. It's the only knife I own more than one of!

  4. Great Knife for the $

Posted by on 7th Feb 2017

The Bullnose is a quality alternative to the Case Sodbuster. My son asked for his first pocketknife for his birthday, and a sodbuster came to mind for simplicity and affordability. But I've had a couple in Chrome Vanadium and the fit and finish left a little to be desired.
The GEC Bullnose, however, has a simple classic design, great quality in scales, blade is centered nicely (something lower end Cases lack occasionally) and has a half stop, which helps for a young guy learning to handle a pocketknife...and the price is right too!

  5. great knife to carry

Posted by on 1st Dec 2015

This is my first GEC knife. The quality and craftsmanship for the money is unparalleled. This is the first of many I hope to get.

  6. Not going to win any beauty contests, but...

5 stars for truth in advertising! It is a work knife. Enough said.

I love how soft the Delrin feels in the hand, and the blaze orange means you will probably never lose it. It also scratches up very easily, so it will never look new again after you take it out of the tube.

The blade is easy to keep sharp, and the 01 tool steel helps keep the price down.

Mine is quite beat up and ugly, but it sure has been a great worker.

One for the tool box, and for the glove compartment, and your pocket. If you don't have one or two, order it now!

  7. A great work-knife

I love working patterns, and this is a great Sodbuster. The O1 steel keeps a great edge and the knife has solid good looks.

  8. Nice knife overall

Posted by on 18th Sep 2014

I have owned this knife for about a year, and carry it frequently. The blade is easy to sharpen and holds a good edge for a decent amount of time.
Keep in mind that the blade is carbon steel, so you need to take care of the blade with oil to prevent corrosion problems.
The blade on mine has a fairly light pull, but opens and closes smoothly and has good snap. My only grip is the relative thickness of the knife makes it less "pocketable" than some other knives with similar sized blades.

  11. Excellent everyday knife

The quality and performance of the GEC Sodbuster are excellent making it an pleasurable working knife. The design lends itself to comfortable use all day long. It's one of my go to knives.

  12. Gec Bullnose

Posted by on 20th May 2014

First of all I wanna say at this price point, the fit and finish of this knife is second to none. For me this is an excellent secondary blade. I decided to get the orange derlin, because I use this knife for outdoor purposes such as camping. I just hate when I drop a knife and can't find it, but these scales solve the problem. O1 tool steel was an awesome choice for this knife. To be honest it is probably my favorite steel to use. Will take a razor sharp edge, and mine hasn't dulled yet. Did I mention its incredibly eazy to sharpen. I am very pleased with my purchase and I will be buying more GEC knives. I also want to thank collectorknives.net for the fast shipping! I recieved my knife a short 3 days after I ordered it. Awesome service.
