I was very pleased to see GC produce this knife. My two favorite blades and a slim package with beautiful ebony scales and great fit and finish. Liked it so much I got a back up and The stag version as well.

5 out of 5 My virtually perfect knife

Just received my ebony Churchill in the mail today. The ebony is beautiful! The fit and finish superb! It is hard to believe this is the same #35 pattern as my Calf Pen. The Calf Pen is the workhorse and the Churchill is the thoroughbred. The #35 may not be the most elegant design, but the classy ebony and silver bolsters give the Churchill a look that competes with the best of them. The way the blades nestle together between the scales is amazing. And speaking of the blades, the grind on both is excellent. This may be my favorite GEC so far.
I ordered this knife on a Sunday evening and received it on Wednesday in the Pacific NW. Unbeatable service.

I am very happy with this knife. I think the blade combination is useful. Single spring keeps it slimmer, though still has a heft to it. Ebony is very evenly dark. Blades have a nice snap opening and closing even without the half stop. Fit and finish is not quite to the level of higher end GEC, but it’s not intended to be. Definitely going in my pocket when wearing a dark suit.
